About the program

The 2022-2025 strategic plan of the Jewish Federation of Edmonton identified developing and growing a movement of the community’s next generation of leaders and board members as a top priority for the Jewish community. The Young Leadership Program was created to cultivate forward-thinking, highly effective, and philanthropic volunteer leaders for the Federation and our Edmonton Jewish community organizations. Now more than ever, we need a vibrant and diverse network of emerging leaders to help us solve the complex challenges facing the Edmonton Jewish community today and for the next 50 years.

Over eight months, this cohort-based course will provide Jewish adults (ages 24+) with the opportunities to grow their leadership skills through a unique blend of a curated curriculum, hands-on experiential learning, mentorship, and high-access professional networking. This program trains participants in understanding our Jewish community, the contemporary challenges we face, and how to lead and make a positive impact through philanthropy and non-profit board service across Jewish Edmonton. The program offers a unique opportunity to develop oneself as a leader and to put ones values into action in a leadership role for the Jewish community. Upon completion of the program, graduates will receive a certificate, and the course may be eligible for professional development credits.
